Firestone Walker Stickee Monkee. Like it a lot, although last year had it on tap and it seemed a little more syrupy. Got 3 bottles this year. Seems stronger than 11.8%, but it is smooth. Very good, but last year's was better. Not sure if it's because that was on tap vs. bottle.

Remember the Diet Pepsi with Lemon? They should bring that back.
And since it is Diet soda I think Daddy Bloomberg would approve.

Avery Chai High. Decent, need to try some of Avery's stouts.

    Narragansett.

And just learned today (by reading the can) that Narragansett was what Quint was drinking on the Orca while fishing for a certain shark.

Pipeworks Coffee Break Adbuction. Very good, a notch below Founders KBS and Weyerbacher Sunday Morning Stout, but can't think of too many other coffee stouts that are better. Does not feel like 10.5%, very smooth.

Most bourbon-barrel aged stouts (KBS, Sunday Morning) tend to be more favored than non-barrel aged like Coffee Break.

Big fan of Pipeworks, glad I get to Chicago often enough to grab things while they're fresh. Love their hoppy stuff.

Good point, guess it's not a totally fair comparison.
Don't think I've had a bad coffee beer, guess it makes sense since coffee and beer are probably my two favorite beverages.

You ever have any Kane or Carton? Kane Sunday Brunch is a great coffee porter. Carton has a cream ale, Regular Coffee, that really tastes just a like a coffee you would get at a Jersey or NYC deli or roach coach.

I tried something from Carton a couple years back (one of their hoppys) and it was solid. Don't think I've had anything from Kane.

Not a big coffee fan, don't drink it non-alcoholic so don't search it out in my beer. Stouts and porters in general aren't my faves. That said, I do enjoy well-done ones in smaller quantity (roasted malt tends to overpower my palate, yet I can drink enamel-peeling sours all day long, go figure).
