A woman I work with, maybe three years out of college who sits across from me, is pretty cute and we get along great. A few weeks ago a whole group of us went out after work and had drinks. She had too many. And at one point when we were joking about our cell phones and I was complaining about all the new crap on the new IOS and not knowing text shorthand, she blurted, "Oh, my good, you're too old for me!" I am like 18 years older than her, and I already have a long-term gf. But still, ya don't want to be hearing from mid-20s women that you're too old.

Wait 'til they're young enough to be your daughter.

I was talking about the "old guy" in the office when I was a young reporter, who probably wasn't that much older than I am now.

I turned to a 23-year-old co-worker and said "that's me, huh?' and he replied "Yep."

Reminder from another thread: When our family got its first VCR, the very first movie we rented was the new release "Best Defense" with Dudley Moore and Eddie Murphy (what a suckfest!). That was 1984... 32 fucking years ago.

Brad Savage, who played Danny, the youngest boy in "Red Dawn"? Well, this is him now:

I bet he gets up a couple of times a night now to piss in the radiator.

That one of my fondest memories of freshman year of college was the good times and friends that I made watching the Mets playoff games against the Astros and Red Sox -- and realizing that it was 30 years ago.

Remembering that I was there when Luis Tiant made his major league debut. :-(

Remembering that the first baseball game I ever went to had Pete Rose and Mike Schmidt in the starting lineup.
