I kept telling myself I lived in a blood-red bubble and the rest of the country was not this deluded and hateful.

I was wrong.

 

Been flipping over to the NBC station since the polls closed here to check on some local races and it's been refreshing to see life outside Blitzer and King playing tic-tac-toe on the big iPad.

 

The actual polling miss was only about 2 points nationally

 

They'll slam the nails into the Supreme Court. Gerrymandering will be cranked up even further and voter suppression kicked into higher gear.

It's all over.

I don't know. Maybe the Trumpsters know something I don't. Maybe they know something the rest of you don't.

I'm not moving to Canada. I'm not counting the days for a bomb to drop. Tomorrow's forecast calls for sun. And frankly, the biggest threat will probably come from the people who don't realize it's time to move on.

I just know I don't have to wallow in politics for quite a while if I don't want to. I'll just hope he does a representative -- no, an excellent job.

Ok, Democrats. How committed are we to giving Supreme Court nominations a chance and not obstructing them now

 

I think he's one of the worst people in this country today, I sincerely do, but I now sincerely hope he somehow does a good job.

(Though my gut says we're all -- especially women and minorities -- pretty seriously fucked.)
