First time, long time, love your show. Maybe this belongs on a different part of the board. But I am interested in hearing who people here think are the new studs, who are the writers with attitude, who are the future of our business? Who do you like?

Why would being a "writer with attitude" define you as a stud? Shouldn't being a good reporter and a quality wordsmith count a hell of a lot more than having an attitude?

"Attitude" is what started turning me off this business. God, I'm old.

To me, a beat reporter who turns in clean copy on deadline is a "stud." So are copy editors who improve late-breaking stories, write good headlines for them and make deadline, and designers who produce lively pages in an increasingly formatted, templated world.
