Plus, he's citing Bill freakin' Clinton - who built 330 or so miles of border fence in 1993. That was 24 years ago. It's as relevant to the conversation in 2017 as this ...

I forget. How many of the 9-11 hijackers made it to America by sneaking across the Mexican border through darkness.

That's not a wall. People aren't irritated with Trump because he wants to construct "border fencing."

There were whispers he was once institutionalized in the 90s, even before he became a star on his 'amazing' TV show.

Translation: You didn't bother to read the article before responding to it and you are once again proving you will support anything and everything President Trump says or does.

Eh. I knew he was a big proponent of "border security". I thought that included a wall.

Either way, what he said then is somehow considered racist at worst, and inhumane in the least, today.

Yeah. This is you, and others, being overly literal again. Trump supporters want improved border security, that includes a physical barrier along large parts of the border.

And, the idea that a physical barrier won't improve border security is laughable.

So on Holocaust Remembrance Day, Trump ordered a ban on admitting refugees. Also, his statement on said day forgot to mention Jews. What a pig. Anyone from anywhere else who hates America, it's hard to say they're completely wrong.

You said that Bill Clinton talked about building a wall. Bill Clinton did not talk about building a wall. No deflection. Bill Clinton did not talk about building a wall.

YF's definition of "overly literal" is any time we hold the president accountable for what he says.

Yes. We should do a much better job tracking folks who over stay they visas, finding them, and kicking them out.

    Are we all for this?

It's funny, because Jeb! was specifically for this, but against kicking out folks who illegally crossed the border.

Why is one form of residing in the country illegally grounds for deportation, while another isn't? it makes no sense.

This is nonsense. He has chosen that word very specifically: "wall." He has described it. Big. Beautiful. Thick. Impenetrable. He has gone to this well again and again and again.
