    The thing with guys like Manafort, it's always about the money. He's a sleazebag whore. In a vacuum, I wouldn't necessarily assume he has any love for Russia or Vladimir Putin and that he'd move on to pimping for opposing interests in a heartbeat if someone offered him more money. So between 2005 or 2009 or whenever he stopped collecting money from a Russian oligarch, he conceivably could have moved on.

    The thing is, for a guy who is all about the cash grab. ... Manafort was working for Trump for no pay!

    Reason tells me that with a guy like that, his payday had to be coming from some other place, then. It doesn't really add up.

    Right now it is all smoke, not quite a fire yet. But damn, there is a lot of smoke around this.
