Something good (probably Gorsuch) is going to break in his favor in the next couple of weeks, just on law of averages. Then it will be the congressional address all over again and we'll get fawning news commentary about how presidential he's acting and "Trump is back!" articles. And then he'll eventually do something else stupid to kill that momentum.

Much better to exterminate them before they are born. Solves the problem.

Even Gorsuch is going to be a Pyrrhic victory for Trump. Schumer will force McConnell to nuke the filibuster on his nomination. Schumer wants him to.

Inspired by the Agnew line in cisforkoke sig I've listened to bits of Spiro Agnew speeches on YouTube.

    Can't sleep, go figure.

Anyway, Spiro, he was quite the piece of work.

Would fit in well today with a certain crowd.

And, after what we've now seen, do you honestly think this Republican party has any fucking clue how to put forth that mythological "good bill"?

For seven damn years we heard these folks bleating about how they supposedly had a far better plan. And then they finally get their put up or shut up opportunity to prove it, and with all the advantages decisively in their favor (ie. control of both houses of Congress and the Presidency), and it turns out they've got NOTHING. The best they can put forth is a flaming pile of shit that half their own friggin party can't support in good conscience.

Trump has chosen his enemy on this one. True or not, he will say that the Obamacare is a disaster and it is the Democrats fault.

His people will shit on Ryan or the Freedom Caucus on background.

Andrea Mitchell of NBC a/k/a Mrs. Alan Greenspan (used to indicate deep, deep level of her DC connections) reports that some White House staff members are scrubbing their cell phones in anticipation of subpoenas. Guys, that's the express lane to federal prison. Don't do it. And for God's sake don't talk about it.

Inside the GOP’s Health Care Debacle
"Through charm, force of personality and sheer intimidation, Trump did move some votes into the yes column. But GOP leaders were left wondering why he didn't do more—why he didn't send tweets, travel to congressional districts, put his famed dealmaking skills to work. The answer, to Republicans on both ends of Pennsylvania Avenue, is obvious: Because he lacked familiarity with the legislation itself, and thought it was Ryan’s job to sell the specifics."

This is very telling. We have elected someone who knows nothing of how our government works. Everyone should be incensed by this. Those who dislike his policies should be disturbed that he is in the Oval Office. Those who like his plutocracy and his disdain for all who are not just like himself should be disturbed that he is so ignorant.
