Yeah, and if he's a first generation Englander, that makes the case for continued Muslim immigration to the West... better?

It's a time bomb. We've seen many examples of the kids of immigrants becoming radicalized. For every Muslim immigrant we let in, we increase the odds of a "home grown" terrorist in 30 years.

By the time the incubation period is up, we could have a full blown epidemic.

First, executive order 9066 was one of the biggest mistakes in US history, born out of fear and paranoia that couldn't get past the fact most people were trying to live their lives and just because they were Japanese didn't make them spies or threats. I made the comparison on purpose because all I hear from you, QY and other right wingers on this site is how we can't trust Muslims because they practice Islam and all of them are potential terrorists. Your paranoia and bigotry parallel what was going on in 1942 and that makes the comparison valid.

You guys want a travel ban to stop people from Islamic counties from coming over when the biggest threat to homeland security are those who are already here. How many terrorist attacks have we had on US soil since 9/11 that were perpetrated by people who came to the US for the sole purpose of committing a terrorist act?

A travel ban is just the first step toward worse measures because the ban won't stop people who live in the US from being recruited nor will a ban make the radicals just give up on trying to harm Americans.

That would only be true if the criteria for potential Nazi sympathizer was that they had blond hair and blue eyes.

Yeah, we should have known 35 or so years ago when the Pulse Nightclub shooter's father came here that he'd have a son who would have done that.

Yeah. The mayor has been spot on in the past.

    Here is the process
You asked: How are refugees vetted today?

I don't see any ways around it.

Does it hurt carrying the goalposts all over the place like this?

Trump misunderstood or misrepresented Khan's post in response to this latest attack and you backed him as you always do, no matter how many rhetorical knots you have to tie yourself in to make it happen.

I'm sure many posters would rather live there than spend anymore time in the United States. So there are a lot of terrorist attacks. At least Trump isn't their leader. A bunch of people may keep dying, but at least the mayor's Twitter account is respectable.

Yeah, good thing we've got a president willing to say "radical Islamic terrorism!"

(Except when he's speaking in front of a bunch of Muslims. In the home nation of the 9/11 attackers and Osama bin Laden.)

It's not even clear that the Mayor of London's approach is any better than Trump's.

The fear is, that if we're not nice to Muslim's, they won't tell us about terrorists in their midst -- which doesn't say much about what anyone thinks of Muslims.

But, even in the U.K., Muslims can't be counted on to alert officials when their co-religionists are plotting terror:

"Astonishing" two in three British Muslims would NOT give police terror tip-offs
TWO thirds of British Muslims would not inform the police if they thought that somebody close to them had become involved with terrorist sympathisers, according to a poll.

What's your solution? Gunning down all Muslims in the streets of America? Shuttering every mosque?
