    I remember once discussing that as the hypothetical nightmare end of this "attention whore your way to the top" trend.

    It moved from hypothetical to reality far sooner than expected.

    I think the Lakers can be plenty concerned about Lonzo's defensive issues. He got absolutely torched both times he faced DeAaron Fox this year, and Fox is the closest thing he encountered to guarding a typical NBA starting point guard. And last night he struggled to stay in front of friggin Kendall Marshall, who might be the single slowest point in all of pro basketball.

    His awful shooting last night can perhaps just be chalked up to nerves. But the defensive issues are a more permanent thing.
