Ragu for the Sunday paper. And we'll run him if we need a space filler during the week.

I'd hire Whitman, sports or otherwise.

He can get under people's skin without being a troll, and he can suck you into the debate even when you've told yourself "I'm not going near that."

I've often thought websites or newspapers should have a satirical Don't Take My Advice Column.

Poin and VB made the list! Thanks CW.

Now if I could just get paid for it...

Unquestionably @The Big Ragu. I've even got a column mug ready to go if he takes the job.

LTL, because I appreciate his musings on college football and that is my favorite topic. He also reguarly comes up with one liners that actually get me to laugh out loud.

Also, if Whitman had a column, it would have to be titled "And Something Else Double Down Would Agree with Me On ..."

I would definitely lean toward typefitter and gingerbread.

I would want LTL just giving general sports thoughts
    Dick for fitness
    QYFW for music
    Baron for wrestling

Seems strange to hire a TV guy for a columnist gig, but I'd take @exmediahack. Can tell a compelling story, can make you laugh, can make you think, can cover lots of different topics. Can disagree without being disagreeable.

He'd be great, unlike the TV sports anchor's column we had to run on our page after ownership worked out a tradeout with the local station at one point. Oh my God, the inane gobbledygook he'd turn into us.
