"What kind of dog you got there?"

"Pull start."

 

Burned a bunch of sticks from leftover brush that has accumulated all spring and summer in the fire pit. Ate dinner (chicken and salt potatoes). Gave the oldest a deadline of Friday afternoon to finish writing his five-minute speech for his communications merit badge upon penalty of losing his video game system for the entire weekend.

 

Listening to the storm blow through...doing my 1st fantasy football auction draft (never plan to again...this is awful)...watched the end of Varsity Blues on one of the pay channels and ate homemade coconut shrimp with sweet potatoes.

 

It only takes you an hour?

It usually takes me three or four, depending on whether or not I feel like edging afterward.

 

Put the finishing touches for the evening on a 5-minute plumbing project that turned into 2 hours and three trips to the store. And I am still not done - have to replace the supply stop tomorrow.

 

We have a guy. Haven't mowed in 30+ years. Then again, I wish I could have a yard covered with gravel.

 

My backyard is basically dirt. My son has killed the grass. I appreciate his efforts.

 

Auctions are great. Just did one tonight.

 

Missed the bus. Took a cab. Drank a glass of scotch. More of the same in the next hour, minus the bus and cab stuff.

 

40 minutes on the treadmill, made a pot of coffee, finished and posted a story, drank coffee, checked Twitter, about to start another story.
