Frank Vincent was one of the great mob-movie character actors. Always a great wingman for the protagonist. He killed enemies using just about every piece of equipment one could find at a Menards.

Not in any way trying to make this political, but there have been several times when I've seen Billy Batts, Frank Marino and Phil Leotardo in a Donald Trump facial expression that is part grimace, part uneasy smile.

Twenty years in the can I wanted manigott, but I compromised. I ate grilled cheese off the radiator instead. I wanted to fuck a woman, but I compromised. I jacked off into a tissue. You see where I'm goin'? What the fuck is a Menards? I've been in Jersey my whole life and I never heard of the fucking thing.

Speaking of the politics thread, it remains open with the consistency of a rollercoaster at a traveling carnival

All Things Considered has a nice piece on Vincent's death, his roles with Pesci, directed by Scorsese, and his time playing drums in a band fronted by Pesci.

Vincent also played Robert DiBenardo in the HBO movie Gotti ("DB"). Got whacked by Sammy the Bull (well, Sammy distracted him, someone else came from behind and pulled the trigger). Four actors in that movie later went on to the Sopranos, Phil, Paulie Walnuts, Big Pussy and Junior.

frank vincent job lot ad - - Yahoo Video Search Results

Frank was well acquainted with Rhode Island - he shot several low-budget films here ("Federal Hill," if you can find it, is recommended; "A Wake in Providence" is not unless you're a major to the third power Adrienne Barbeau fan). A few years ago, he did some Ocean State Job Lot ads around Christmas. Love the Sopranos callout in the open.
