Your second sentence contradictions your first, no?

This is the reason I want the Second Amendment repealed. I don't think that all guns should be banned or criminalized. I do think it should be a matter left to legislation, preferably at the local level. I would be willing to countenance a replacement Amendment taking certain types of gun legislation out of the purview of the federal government/commerce clause.

But @Dick Whitman is quite correct in that repeal of the 2nd Amendment is necessary. It is the only real way to prevent future gun crimes. Until firearms have been confiscated across the country (by force, if necessary), we will face endless gun crimes.

It has worked in Australia, and will certainly work here.

The fight is over. The gun people won.

    And it wasn't even close.

    That's what America is.

The reporting I saw indicated that the weapons were purchased legally. He has no criminal history. Good guy with a gun. Until last night while Jason Aldean sang "When She Says Baby."

This wasn’t supposed to in open carry states

There is no legitimate reason for a private citizen to own a semi-automatic, let alone automatic, weapon. If the First Amendment doesn't allow you to yell fire in a crowded theater, surely the Second Amendment isn't meant to facilitate opening fire on one.
