Has anyone not made the obvious connection that this guy has the same name as the father on "Webster"?

And absolutely, I don't believe for a second that Putin contented himself to buying pet Republicans. If this "superlobbyist" was involved, then Lock Him Up(tm). And anyone else involved.

People have gotten so used to politicizing Halliburton and Benghazis and Birthergates and Binders Full of Women that they reflexively assume that's the only kind of scandal that exists.

A member of the winning presidential campaign has *confessed as part of a plea deal on a federal crime* working to try to trade US foreign policy favors to a hostile power for campaign help. This has been denied to have happened for months by the WhatAbout set, but now it is literally indisputable. All they have left (besides the honorable path, which Jesus Christ leads to President Mike Pence and a more effective Republican leadership, so why is it so hard?) is to quibble over how high up it went, which is a stupid fucking game to play when it's blatantly obvious it went higher up and Mueller isn't done. All that gets you is a week's worth of shitty talking points before you have to regroup.

And did I mention the President who benefitted (and who has a long history of the exact same sorts of real estate deals that just got Manafort charged with a shit load of federal felonies) from all that collusion *fired the director of the FBI and openly bragged that the reason was to stop the investigation into these crimes that are now proven to have happened through confession*. The literal exact same obstruction of justice that caused Republican congressman to tell Nixon he was way out of line and it was time to go.

This isn't Watergate because at least Watergate just involved felony breaking and entering and not literal treason. It's Watergate on PEDs. And JFC it's blatantly obvious it goes deeper than that. Trump has been taking shady Russian money in real estate deals and parroting Moscow taking points for decades (birtherism).

He may well have been wearing a wire, but it doesn't look like he's going to ensnarl anyone like Trump, Jr., Jared, or Sessions.

But they quote one unidentified campaign “supervisor” as emailing him in August 2016 that “I would encourage you” to make a trip to Moscow to arrange such a meeting. A Trump campaign source identified the supervisor as Sam Clovis, a conservative radio host who was co-chairman of the campaign. Another “high ranking” official — identified by the source as campaign chairman Paul Manafort — received an email from Papadopoulos saying that “Russia has been eager to meet Mr. Trump for quite some time and has been reaching out to me to discuss.” Manafort forwarded that email to his associate Richard Gates and wrote: “Let’s discuss. We need someone to communicate that DT is not doing these trips. It should be someone low level in the campaign so as not to send any signal.” (Some of these emails were quoted in a Washington Post story this past August that first identified Clovis, Manafort and Gates as the campaign officials who sent and received them.)

Mueller discloses Trump campaign aide pleaded guilty to lying about Russian contacts

If he was recording conversations with any of them, why announce his arrest, and cooperation today? Today would be the day you'd want him taping further conversations.

    Point was made.

To be fair, 50% of all Greek-American guys are named George.

LOL. Where did birtherism originate again?

Putin wasn't to sow discord, and mistrust, in our system. And he has.

So if you out compare the indictment to previous reporting, you can figure out some of this stuff.

The "campaign official" who forwarded Papadopolous's suggestion up the chain with a note that they shouldn't send Trump himself but rather a low-level to a meeting with Russian government officials was probably Lewandowski

When your child is older, I hope "But Hillary!" becomes the standard response when you say it's time for bed or to turn off the TV or after missing curfew and getting grounded.

From supporters of Hillary Clinton. That's documented, and admitted to.
