LOL. Jeff Greenfield gets in on the action.

Think anyone would be saying this about Bill of Hillary had won?

He can look at himself in the mirror.

Good for him. He doesn't want to be there but will stay for the check till something honest comes along.

Jeff Greenfield has been a has-been since Reagan's first term. The number of Democrats who condemned Clinton were legion. They just didn't think he should be impeached for the Lewinsky affair. MoveOn condemned him along with Joe Lieberman. Ken Starr, hardly a Clinton booster, included neither the Brodderick nor Willey accusations in his report, all 2600 pages of it, because he didn't think they were credible witnesses. This whole "what about Bill?" narrative is just an excuse for people like YF and for Beltway Democrats, which Greenfield and Ezra Klein are, to prove how virtuous they are because deep down inside, when attacked by a Republican, they cave in terror.

Legion? Lieberman made no friends in his party by going out alone on that limb. If everyone was saying it, why is he the only one we remember? Are you still arguing that Brodderick & Willey are making it up? Are they less credible than any of the post-Weinstein accusers? Is Clinton any better than the rest of them?

There is little that liberals love more than their sense that on all social issues, they will be on the right side of history. I guess they love the Clinton memories more. I understand, those fantasies made for a great run as the West Wing. Too bad it was fiction.

Guy, what I said was that Ken Starr did not find them credible. Ken Starr. If you're not willing to take his word for it, there's not much to say. Clinton was a proven cad. That's tawdry. But it ain't assault. The idea he just skated through the '90s because Democrats looked the other way is a falsehood. No, it's a lie, because the historical record, not so long ago, says otherwise.
