Don’t worry, Jennifer Lawrence is on the case.

Many moons ago, I recall one of our posters decrying the last fellow in office as just too weak. He didn’t look strong to our adversaries, namely Russia.

So congrats to all of us for getting to live under the leadership of the weakest man to take the office, a man who oozes insecurity and publicly whines when someone on the teevee says something mean. Just soft and weak. Thank God the old standard has been dropped.

I guess Trump is the first millennial president.

Prior to his last weeks in office, what are the examples of Obama standing up to Putin?

    This sounds about right.

Any foreign entity trying to mess with elections should be dealt with accordingly, but perspective, as usual, is needed and lacking.

I think this also goes to Alma’s argument. There are a lot of people who desperately want there to have been collusion — for personal and political reasons. For the Internet fanbois, the outcome doesn’t matter. But for professional journalists who are itching for their Watergate, there has to be a real there there when theories and hopes are thrown out day after day as evidence. If the end result of Mueller’s investigation is not a bombshell of historic proportions, it is going to be a net negative for a media already struggling with credibility problems.

Like the time he failed to enact sanctions against Russia that overwhelmingly passed Congress?

I think YF was looking for an answer in the affirmative.

What possible reason would any rational person have for accepting a premise offered by YF and giving him anything he wants? Also, who cares? We promise not to vote for Obama again. All of us. The entire country. Now what about you and your guy? (And please don't lie to us again and say he isn't your guy. You may be more willing to acknowledge his failings than YankeeFan, which is a very low bar, but you are clearly willing to overlook them to keep a Republican in the White House.)

If Hillary had won, no one would be talking about Russia, or their interference in the election.

Hillary would have already presented Putin with another "Reset" button, and would be trying to forge a new relationship with them, and would be looking for ways to cooperate on Syria, North Korea, etc.

And, we would have never learned who paid for the fake Russian dossier. We would have never learned about the illegal unmasking of Americans. We would have never learned about how the FBI presented the fake dossier to a FISA judge as verified intelligence, in order to get a warrant on an American citizen.

Paul Manafort and Rick Gates, who had been investigated previously by the FBI for what they are now accused of, would be facing no legal jeopardy.

Jim Comey would have been fired on Inauguration Day, and Loretta Lynch would still be on the job, as promised to her by Bill Clinton on the tarmac in Phoenix.

At the Presidential level, there isn't anything we know now, that we didn't know prior to the election.

Obama only added new sanctions as he was walking out the door.

Trump hasn't loosened any sanctions, and has added new ones.

So, how has Trump been weak in dealing with Russia?
