This things always seem to happen late at night, often after many have gone to bed ... Buster Douglas over Tyson overnight in Japan ... Chaminade over Virginia ended at 3 a.m. EST ... Stanford over USC as a 40-point dog was a late game ... this one was one of the last games of the night. Maybe the favorites get sleepy!

Late to the party from yesterday......first of all, I'm delighted to see @Big Circus posting.
Second of all, my instant headline that went off in my head was "Wa-WHAT?!"
Marsha-West Va could end in a brawl with D'Antoni and Huggy sitting there watching.

Consider this proof of life, man. Life goes on. I’m just thankful I have a new baby to focus on, and even more thankful my wife was able to talk me out of naming him Tony.

The thing is, this season, they could score. They were efficient, people talk about Marshall's offense? UVA was significantly better in points per possession. All they did all year was drain deep 3's and dunk on people.

This is all about UMBC being the first team to do anything against that defense. And that might be the most improbable thing that's ever happened in sports.

The Man Behind the UMBC Athletics Twitter: Zach Seidel

Zach Seidel: I’m not gonna lie, I’ve been at UMBC for 10 years and I’ve dealt with a lot of crap from people: Maryland, Towson–good schools, but they treat us like the little brother. When I saw (Davis) tweet that, I was going to do something professional, but then the 10 years of frustration came out. Nobody gives us a chance and it really set me off. I was like, “You know what? We’re going to have fun tonight and I’m going to keep tweeting at him.” I saw more and more people were liking us and I was like, “This is really good for the school, I’m just going to keep tweeting at him,” and then (Davis) deleted his tweet, which people noticed. I just decided to give it a personality for the night.

    Too late, Seth.

Not sure there will be a better one than that.

Houston is still in it. UVa suffered the biggest upset ever. Patrick Ewing is at Georgetown.

After starting 2-3 through Thursday, it was a pretty good day for the ACC yesterday, going 4-1. Well, except for that 1.
