I will admit I have no idea who this idiot is. What he fails to understand is, if Kim goes back on his promises, we have lost what exactly? You DO understand our promises are contingent on his promises, right? If he does not denuclearize, we keep doing our military exercises with SK, right? And we've lost nothing? I mean, it's not like we paid him billions of dollars for shits and giggles like we did to Iran. Please tell me you get this.

 

Both Koreas are small. Where do you suggest they hold joint exercises to practice a response to an attack by the North Koreans, Arizona?

 

It may not be parents per se, but there is a Coalition of Families of Korean and Cold War POW/MIA's that Rick Downes is the president of. Downes has been pushing for this for years, to every POTUS, including Trump, for the release of the remains of family members.

And Downs did reach out to Trump during the campaign, just like he reached out to the other candidates, asking if they would win if they would help get back remains.

 

We have NOT given him nothing. Our President is so ignorant of diplomacy and so eager to be seen as a great negotiator (Nobel Peace Prize!) that he legitimized a murderous dictator, gave him a propaganda victory he'll trumpet for years, and threw our military alliance with the South Koreans under the bus for lagniappe.

in this case it also is a little muscle flex in front of China. Without American troops there, drilled and ready, there is no force between China and Hawaii. China becomes 1930s Japan, looking to expand in search of natural resources.

But it is impossible to discuss matters with trumpsters, they lack the cognitive ability to see anything and think of anything that they don't repeatedly hear on FoxNews. Even on this board, the defenders of trump lack the humanity and thoughtfulness with which to have a discussion.
But as trump has effectively shown, if you are thoughtful, act humanely and civilly, keep an open mind and listen before you speak, you will lose to him and his supporters. The brown shirts have been replaced with ill fitting white shirts and extra-long red ties, but the lack of humanity is the same.

 

What fucking "promises" are you talking about? This summit achieved NO material new promises from North Korea. The vague statement about "working toward" denuclearization is nothing new, instead it's the exact same words South Korea already got from him a couple months ago, and as noted, the same thing NK has said innumerable times before, because everyone knows such vague words mean nothing. There's not a single damn thing NK is obligated to do toward denuclearization here.

Instead, the ONLY side that drew any material and specific concessions from this summit was North Korea, which got our promise to end joint military exercises in Korea. If there was a scoreboard for this summit, it would say:

North Korea 1
United States 0

They got one real thing out of it. We got nothing. I can't imagine how mercilessly idiots like you would be crucifying Obama for "legitimizing and appeasing a dictator" if this had been his work. But since it's not the black dem prez, you defend it. You're a shameless tool.

I'm going to bare my soul here: I really, really need for this story to be not true, or somehow exaggerated. This is the kind of shit that starts wars. This kind of depravity has no place in 2018 America, or really 2018 Anywhere. My outlook would actually improve if this turned out to be a bad shot in a propaganda war and not something that actually happened.
