This is complete bullshit. They are some errors with people not updating their married names etc. But the vast majority of people who do not verify are people who do not have legitimate Social Security Numbers, they made one up or used someone elses.

There is absolutely no need to build a wall to stop illegal immigration. SSA/IRS for decades have had lists of employees sorted by employer, that don't match their stated identity. The policy has been for years to ask employers politely to correct their records which of course is a "look the other way" farce. What is needed is progressive sanctions. Medium fine. Large fine. Then jail time for those executives who persist in falsifying tax records.

Grant liberal work visas for aliens in those hard to fill jobs. Those who don't commit crimes should be granted a path to permanent residence/citizenship after a few years.

Also stop giving subsidies to teenagers to have illegitimate children. No food stamps, Section 8, free health care, Obama phones, government cheese etc. Refer them to jobs at Manny's landscaping, Tyson chicken, or the Fresno cotton-pickers association. Give them clean barrack style housing and day-care for their children. Their children will grow up to be teachers, their grandchildren will grow up to be doctors and lawyers.

Federal Judge in California Issues Injunction Halting Government From Separating Families

A federal judge in California issued a nationwide injunction late Tuesday temporarily stopping the Trump administration from separating children from their parents at the border and ordered that all families already separated be reunited within 30 days.

Judge Dana M. Sabraw of the Federal District Court in San Diego said children under 5 must be reunited with their parents within 14 days, and he ordered that all children must be allowed to talk to their parents within 10 days. ...

The American Civil Liberties Union had filed a lawsuit to stop the separations before the president’s executive order. In his order, Judge Sabraw said that children may be separated at the border only if the adults with them present an immediate danger to the children.

He also said that adults may not be deported from the United States without their children.

 

Whataboutism is or toxic modern political discourse, something both sides fall back on over and over again. Is serves as the permission structure by which we treat each other poorly (I guess the trolling each other for the pure glee of it is outside that structure)
