One of the few people who grew up in Arkansas and never became a Hog fan. Lots of friends are crying in their beer tonight. Brutal.

 

Somewhere out there there's an ESPN AP tweet proclaiming Arkansas as the national champion. Oops. If it happens, the ESPN/Hogs' lovefest will have to wait for a day.

The Razorbacks have clinched their first baseball title

 

For what it's worth, Oregon State won its first title in 2006 after losing its first tourney game, then rallied to beat North Carolina in the championship series. Beavers wound up winning the thing when they scored on a UNC error late in Game 3.

I'm seeing some similarities here ...

 

Oregon State can't lose. They should have been back in Corvallis a week ago and they're a win away from the title. 24 runs in the final three innings of their wins.

 

The only college Huckabee gives a shit about is Ouachita Baptist.

It was during his governorship that the Razorbacks cut their football games in Little Rock to 2 a year, and that was a compromise. (They’ve since cut it to one, under a different GOP guv.)

 

MacGregor once asked "Why?" when it comes to sports.

I honestly don't know how their fans aren't soul-crushed by all the craziness surrounding that program - both on the field and off - over the past couple of decades.

 

I still hold a grudge against Arkansas for the agonizing way they eliminated UVA in 2009. And yet they’re up against an actual child molester. So...go Hogs!

 

Man, Arkansas looked so flat tonight. Fans emptied out pretty quick too. Lots of empty seats in the 9th.

 

All because of a foul ball allowed to hit the ground last night.
