Seeking Sports Editor
The Atlantic News Telegraph, a six day paper in Southwest Iowa is looking for a committed, passionate individual to be our new Sports Editor. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter and can go beyond game coverage to deliver compelling feature stories and top notch photography. The successful applicant will be expected to write game stories, previews, features and take photos, as well as providing strong insight and analysis. The Sports Editor paginates their own pages and coordinates coverage for the News Telegraph and a weekly paper, The Audubon County Advocate Journal. Experience is preferred, but not required. This position is ideal for recent college graduates who are looking for experience. We cover five local school districts and place an emphasis on local stories.
Candidates must have a working knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, adept at working with social media and comfortable working on deadline. Salary will be negotiable based on experience.
