I'm partial to John Fogerty's "Walking in a Hurricane" and Albert King's version of "Call it Stormy Monday"

If we're gonna threadjack (not to be confused with Lennon and McCartney) ...
Was looking through wire copy for the 2006 Super Bowl and came across a review of the halftime show, featuring the Rolling Stones. The writer referred to a son in which Jagger used "an euphemism for a male rooster." Took me about five minutes to stop laughing.

“Hurricane” by The Band of Heathens is a damn good song, although it’s set in New Orleans.

Looks like they'll have to change the sign to, "We're fucked."

Two songs for submission from New Orleans band Cowboy Mouth, on two decidedly different ends of the spectrum: The light, breezy and fun "Hurricane Party," and then the excellent but dour and emotionally raw "The Avenue."
"The Avenue" is their Katrina song.

That it's the strongest storm to ever hit NC is scientifically significant (warm water off the coast), but it doesn't grab attention.
