Whatever my views, the groundswell of support for Ms. Ford, the accuser, is getting stronger and is reminding me of what happened when Mike Tyson chose the wrong type of person to be victimized. No one cares when its the weak, disenfranchised, but when its an (apparent) fine, upstanding, woman of impeccable credentials and upbringing, then there's a collision of forces.

Its going to get to the point that IF the GOP Senate refuses to give her an opportunity to testify, it will smear each and every one of them worse than if they give her a chance to testify.

The way to lose anything, in sports, in politics, in a legal case, is not examining the after effects of a possible move before you even make your move. This should have been anticipated long ago; what do we do if something comes up? You don't stand around and go "uh,uh,........let me think, eh......"

BTW, the GOP is stuck dealing with another woman with what appears to be an excellent attorney who knows what she is doing. Ford's attorney is a DC expert in whistleblowing and at least from website has great credentials.

I have little doubt that Trump will go down because of the friends he picks for his legal team; he's been relying on Michael Cohen!! and Guiliani types whereas on the other side they've got bulldogs like Lanny Davis, Avenotti, and now Ms. Katz. Legal talent matters.

This is going to get ugly as hell.
Shocking there are no women in that drinking photo.
A lot of bad 1983 haircuts, though.

I grew up with those types of guys, was fraternity brothers with them, drank with them, do business with them today; would not surprise me in the least that there predators in that photo or in that crowd.

Every guy who went to a high school party with Kavanaugh is praying to sweet Jesus every goddamn minute of the day that he withdraws from consideration. This shit is gonna get wild.

Not even close. Garland didn’t get a vote.
Your guy Bork got a vote. And what a smack down it was. Six republicans rejected Saint Ronnie’s nominee, who lost 58-42.
He was rejected because he believed, among other things, that whites had the right to restrict black residency through restrictive covenants.

I graduated HS a couple of miles from Georgetown Prepand down the road from Bullis. I knew a couple of girls who went to Holton Arms.I’m class of ‘79. Tons of house parties. Lots of kegs and pot. They just recently changed the drinkinglaw from 18 for beer and wine. If you were born after July 1, 1964 it was 21. Bornbefore that andyou were grandfathered into drinking. Georgetown was the place to go. Winston’s and Crazy Horse rarely if ever carded. Belby’s Beer store on Rockville Pike rarely carded. Those were very good times to party. I didn’t hang with the preppy crowd. Georgetown Prep was more for DC kids than MontgomeryCounty kids. Churchill HS, WalterJohnson were bursting with hot talent and 99% college bound students.

There was lots of drinking, partying and sex. If he felt the need to do what Dr Ford said then he was just an asshole to begin with

If I cared about your wildly misguided opinions, I would be hurt.

Nothing has been the same since Bork. If you can't admit that, you're too ignorant to deal with.
