I can see having the calendar. Maybe buried in your parents attic. What I find ridiculous is that anyone might think it proves anything. Fine, submit it. But let's say the incident did happen. Assuming the calendar is legit, and not something created this past Friday night. ... When I was 17, half the parties I ended up at. ... I had no clue I was going to be in someone's house drinking beer till I puked until an hour or two before I was in the house. That was half the fun of being 17.

And you damn sure wouldn't note "Kegger at Judge's house" on a calendar hanging where your parents could see it.

The calendar, like the evil twin theory, shows how Kavenaugh's allies are making his denials less credible, not more. They should have stuck with a simple "didn't happen."

Hell, they even rolled out Juanita Broaddrick for this.

Perhaps they did do that, which could explain why they started rushing for a vote when the reporting process on the second allegation started last week.

Was he a day student only at Georgetown Prep, or was he a boarding student?

(Yeesh, 4 in a row? Y’all go back to bed or something?)

KAVANAUGH “I have my calendar from my Georgetown Prep days, and it will prove—”
AVENATTI: “Yeah, about that calendar …”

I hate trolls as a general proposition. The exception is the one in a million person who can troll in an artful way that even demonstrates a fair degree of intelligence. Michael Avenatti is a world-class troll. He's just masterful at it. There was a point after a month or two of the Stormy Daniels stuff, where I was just hoping he'd go away. It was getting old. But then I noticed he'd go on CNN or MSNBC and make some prediction. ... and sure enough a few weeks later, whatever it is he suggested would be happening with regard to Trump or Michael Cohen, was happening. And he'd come back on, and instead of gloating or doing, "I told you so," at least the way an obnoxious inartful troll behaves, he'd just keep chipping at them, going way more subtly than that, with a little twinkle in his eye. This guy is good at dirt. And he's good at screwing with people. I would never want to be on his shit list.

Similarly (but not the same thing), can you think of any bigger heart attack moment, than being a man of a certain age who has received some kind of prominence and getting a phone call that begins, "Hello, this is Ronan Farrow of the New Yorker magazine. ..."

Exactly. I don't care why he still has the calendar, but even if it is legitimate, it proves absolutely nothing. I'm actually a bit concerned that a nominee for the Supreme Court thinks that constitutes evidence.

I have a feeling Thursday's hearing is going to go a lot like this:
