I voted for W and I was wrong. I always liked him and I still like him but I knew I made a mistake and didn't vote for him the second time. That wasn't that difficult.

    Cool, and thanks.

Now let's play "Democrats I voted for and was wrong about" for $800, Alex.

Does this fall under the heading of corruption? Or incompetence.

    Hard to know.

    But, Soros.

    Sure.

When was the last bad Democratic president? Jimmy Carter? Even then, you could argue that he was a good man who got royally fucked, and his post-presidency has proved that he's a decent human being.

Well I have not yet voted for a Dem that I regret and given what has happened in Madison and DC I have a hard time imagining there will be many regrets for a bit. But I considered myself center/right for the majority of my voting life before Palin and Tea Party came along. So I don't think this is the "Got Ya" that you think it is.

Every election, TV trots out the myth of the undecided voter dog. That fucking dog will not hunt. It is like the emperor's new clothes: It DOES NOT EXIST.

There's no great swath of people waiting until a day before the election to make up their mind. *Undecideds* is a bunch of horse shit. They're interviewing people who just don't want to say for whom they're voting.

One doesn't necessarily have to be "bad", but I think a good argument can be made that Bush41 and/or Dole would have left a far less, uh, "baggage-laden" legacy than the Clintons --- with the extra bonus of Hillary basically vanishing from the public in light of a defeat in 1992 or 1996.

If the standard is lesser of two evils, Trump is a huge error on the part of voters.

    Huge.

It really seems to bother Republicans that Bill Clinton - flawed as he may be - was a pretty darn good president who remains tremendously popular, and who would kick Trump's ass six ways to Sunday if he were allowed to run for president again.

It bothers Republicans even more that that description also perfectly fits Barack Obama, a successful president minus almost all of Clinton's personal baggage.

Bush the younger was a disaster as a president, but remained/remains a likeable and decent human being. No one will be saying that about T-Rump when he's cast out of the White House.

The republicans hated Bill Clinton for many reasons, he co-opted their strategy of pretending to turn towards the middle while going to the outside, left for CLinton and right for Bush. But they screamed about his personal life. In response they elected tRump, who has more in common with Al Goldstein than AL Smith
