Reading about the long lines and other problems potentially happening in Georgia right now. ... It's baffling to me how easy voter suppression is in this country. How is voting not more protected by the Constitution? And if our Constitution doesn't go far enough to protect voting rights to the point where every 18 and older citizen not only has the right to vote but also an ensured opportunity to vote and the faith that their vote will be counted, no matter what election, then why isn't there a movement to get this amended into the Constitution? Call me naive, but it's disgraceful that this happens anywhere in this country.

But Kemp was in and out of his polling place in less than 20 minutes.

My wife and I voted this morning and took our oldest daughter with us.

I have no idea what's going to happen to the Senate race, or the three (3!) marijuana initiatives that were on the ballot. We also had bingo — not just for Catholics anymore — and minimum wage increases on the ballot. Then a shitload of judges to vote for, including three who you could vote to keep or kick out. I vote kick out every time.

We didn't have a House race on the ballot, so the blue wave is gonna have to crest without our input.

I think it's so cute that they're coming over from the other board- it's like the two-hour midseason special of Diff'rent Strokes when all the characters from The Facts of Life mingle with the regular Strokes cast for a show.

OOP popped over to accuse me of hiding, and to say I don’t get challenged enough over there.

So, here I am. You can thank OOP.

Good timing too, as I’ll likely have to eat crow when the Republicans lose the House.

Sometimes I have to remind myself that everyone on this board is a grown adult.

Some of whom are quite decorated.

This is one of those times.

Where does @swingline live, that had a Senate race, but not a House race??

Sounds like #FakeNews, and a civics failure.

Could be an uncontested House seat. We have at least one of those in Mass.

I've been over there twice. I don't have anything to hide. I went over when you first invited me, then I was there a week or so ago. Spent a good half hour there. Its a fine site, but man, there is some freaking navel gazing going on.

This place, that place, they are just message boards to kill a little time. Good god, some people are INTO this shit.

"This board did me wrong, that mod did me wrong. " State of the Board, etc.

    Yowsa.
