Well, I don't know if that's true or not. But that you'd point it out only reinforces what I said before. These are my own independent thoughts, they are not influenced by what anyone else is saying ....on either the left or right. It's odd how hard it seems for some to grasp that notion when speaking of politics nowadays.

 

Maybe nobody else has these thoughts because they are dumb thoughts

 

The pbrase "of necessity" was not intended to say the trip was essential, only that it was much longer in the works than the shutdown has been going on. I thought that was clear from the context. Sorry if it wasn't.

 

You're entitled to that opinion. You can think them dumb if you like. But at least they are my own thoughts. I didn't let my "side" influence what my thoughts should be, I'm surprised how few can honestly say that nowadays.

 

Meanwhile, Buzzfeed News reports that Trump personally told Cohen to lie to Congress about the Trump Tower meeting and that Mueller has documents as evidence besides Cohen's testimony. That's obstruction of justice as plain as it could be. No dodging around it if it's true, although I imagine many will try.
