Palin's the reason I swung from right/center to center then left/center. I remember aggressively defending her early after her announcement in 2008, and by the time of the actual election I took a deep breath and, even though I'd always professed McCain as my ideal candidate, voted Obama. She wasn't the only data point, but wave of ignorance and bullshit that washed into politics with her was too much.

After the Couric interview where she couldn't name a single publication she'd ever read, I couldn't fathom how anything but tribalistic instincts could drive someone to defend her.

 

I remember the day she was fucking announced it was hailed as a great move.
Palin is usually something the Never Trumpers don't want to talk about.
Just ask Steve Schmidt and Nicolle Wallace.

 

And I am still mystified why she isn't part of this regime.
It's not like she isn't a fit among all the rote incompetents that have filled positions.

 

It's early yet. Some shitgeyser is sure to erupt, take out one of Fatboy's cabinet, leaving him with a sudden high profile vacancy, and we know how he loves to create media events.

For instance, suppose Sarah Huckabuck gets fed up and walks off, and Fatboy needs a new press secretary.
