I do think that is a rare photo of Trump actually pretending to do actual work. I wonder if someone needed to show him how to hold the shovel.

 

Spent some time traveling out of the country recently. Tried to keep my head out of the news. Naturally, Trump was in Europe so that was a big story.

You’ll be shocked to learn that my anecdotal evidence from meeting people is that the U.S. isn’t really “respected again.”

Politics didn’t come up much (and never brought up by me) but the general feeling by non-Americans I talked to was: “Honestly, what the fuck?”

Many of Trump’s supporters aren’t that vocal in public. Walked into a house of an acquaintance- known em for years - and they had a Trump sign atop the mantle. I wouldn’t have guessed. It felt jarring seeing it, too. Like it was the totem of a secret cult.

People don’t wanna try and explain it. They wanna lay low, not be challenged or shamed,
and wait for the winning that isn’t coming.

 

As a Jets fan, I completely understand.
