More bothsiderism bullshit. Obama certainly may have been disappointingly tepid at times in support for science, but Fatfuck has been unrelentingly hostile and obstructionist to virtually everything science-related.

I think @typefitter was correct when he wondered if Trump's vocabulary is, like, 200 words at best. And he has a constant rotation of maybe 100, with whoever he's feuding with being thrown in. He's a seriously stupid, uncurious person.

I'm being totally serious when I say my 5-year-old knows and uses correctly way more than 200 words — and she's kind of nuts like her dad.

I have done an inordinate amount of thought on Trump's vocabulary, thought about pitching a story on it.
Tremendous is a 400-year old word derived from a Latin infinitive.
Amazing is 500 years old. Incredible dates to post-bubonic plague.
Many of the words shat-out by him were first used to describe phenomena.
Now we know that any service member or stock market uptick can only be described as being incredible.

 

Once in a while, I'd throw in a "magnificent," "breathtaking," "astonishing," "inspirational," etc etc. But I have a vocabulary of more than 200 words.
