    There are any number of groups who have motivations for this. The Houthis hoping to keep the war in Yemen going, Iran wanting to send a message to the Saudis, the Saudis who want deeper US involvement in the conflict, Israel who wants to attack Iran, the US wanting an excuse to be more forceful in the region.

    Remember when Bush and Cheney said that America was going to turn a profit on the Iraq War after we took over the oil fields. The original We are going to Invade Iraq and the Iraqis will pay for it.
