I can't find the exact quote, but I'm reminded of Howard Cosell during what turned out to be the last fight he'd call, the Larry Holmes-Randall "Tex" Cobb bout. Holmes was beating Cobb silly and the referee would not stop it. This was after the fatal Ray "Boom Boom" Mancini-Duk Koo Kim fight. Something like "I wonder if the referee is making a case for the abolitionof the sport he is officiating."

That's Trump on Twitter. Thinking he's scoring valuable man points with the base, when in reality, he's digging his own political grave deeper.

McConnell IS 77 - he could just go out in a blaze and take Trump out - secure the GOP majority in the Senate and have the talking heads talk about what a hero he is, how he saved democracy and put country over party etc. I don't think he'd have a problem getting the votes and letting Trump know he has them and tell him to step down.

No, man, you're full of shit on this one. The favorite pastime of this board is knee-jerking at what someone else said.

There's about as much chance of having a balanced discussion here as there is in the Breitbart lunchroom.

McConnell has no inclination to be an American of principle.

    Yeah, about that.

Me to redneck at a turkey shoot after he commented that a big enough gun might kick me right in the breast. He also at one point told me we'd "have some GOOOOOD argymints!": If it comes down to that, I'll take an L on the boob and take you out. The person who walks away from this is going to be me. BTW, nice truck ya got there. It'd be a shame if I had to fill it with holes because I felt my personal safety was threatened.

Sheriff's Deputy to him after he ran and told on me: Whaddya do to make her say that? She seems nice.

Big Gay Redneck Cousin: This is why you're still single.* **

*Fine. I'd rather soul kiss Andy Dick than canoodle a redneck.
**I can't make this shit up. If I ever moved where people didn't act like they were a step away from being Southern-fried Kaspar Hausers, I'd have no stories.

I loathe her, her reptilian daughter, and her big, wiggly, gristly dick of a husband. They can all perish in a spray of antibacterial foam as far as I'm concerned.

...and you would be wrong. I'd still give you half my Moon Pie if we were stranded in James Dickey territory, but you are wrong, sir.

You GO! You GO, GORL! Stayund bah yer mayun!

He deserves to swing at The Hague just for the things he's done to his contituents in Kentucky. I'll bet he foams at the mouth and chirps when he's out of the public eye.

McConnell’s first wife is a feminist studies professor at Smith College. His 3 daughters. His 3 daughters clearly do not share his political philosophies. One is a elementary school teacher in the BALTIMORE area. Another is a professor of history at Frostberg State. His sone in law is a Harvard grad and Fulbright scholar. And his youngest is an activist for finance reform in DC.

The apples fell very far from his tree

    What's your point?

You know, I have a hard time with adultery or cheating of any sort, but I would not blame her if there was a Very Good Friend somewhere those girls called "Uncle."

I was just thinking - the guy doesn't have much left of a career. He'll retire when the Rs eventually lose the majority anyway. He's shown he can block a D President, he's passed tax cuts, packed the courts, obstructed gun laws - what more is there left to do as a Republican Senate leader?
