    Last President to serve without a vice-president.

    I want to say John Tyler, in the strictest sense, since he was the first VP appointed to Pres and then never had a VP. In less strict, LBJ didn’t have a VP while finishing out JFK’s term, but did have Humphrey in the second term.

    In reality, it’s trump because Pence is a k-mart mannequin in a suit.

    Ford didn’t have a Vice President for a few months after Nixon resigned.

    If you’re talking about serving a full term without one, I’d guess Andrew Johnson.

    Ford appointed Rockefeller before dumping him for Dole in the '76 campaign
    LBJ finished Kennedy's term without a VP - he brought in Humphrey for the '64 campaign - and he wasn't sworn in until Jan. 20, 1965.

    Longest time without a VP was 3 years, 334 Days when Harrison died and Tyler became President.

    Truman, Roosevelt, Filmore, Pierce and Andrew Johnson all served more than three years without a veep.

    William King was in interesting case, only Veep sworn on foreign soil - in Cuba where he was battling TB. Later died.

    More questions. Which President was sworn in in Buffalo? Which President was sworn in by his father? Which President was the first (and so far only) President to be sworn in by a woman?

    Teddy Roosevelt was sworn in at the Wilcox Mansion in Buffalo, following the death of McKinley.

    I'm guessing John Quincy Adams was sworn in by John Adams.

    LBJ was sworn in by a woman, in Air Force 1 at Love Field.

    Two of three - like the others - the second one was an emergency situation.

    Coolidge was sworn in by his father, a judge.

    Coolidge was sworn in by his father, a Vermont judge, when Harding bought the farm.

    No. And even if it were right, I would not allow any response that does not use the reply button :)

    Seriously, man, you've been a member since June 2007!
    Things that have happened since June 2007
    * Our first black president
    * Our first orange president
    * The Cubs won the World Series
    * A whole lotta other shit.

    Know what hasn't happened? Dan from Oregon hasn't learned how to use the Reply button. Listen, man, I usually ain't a stickler, but I don't even know when you respond half the time -- or to who -- because I don't get notifications. So pretty please, with sprinkles on top, use the fucking Reply button.
