I would not be surprised if Gowdy reconsidered after some establishment types said they wanted some eyes and ears ithey could trust involved on Team Trump.

Don't be naive. He was told by fellow South Carolinian Mulvaney that he'd be left bankrupt by SC Republicans if he failed to accept. They're all fucking thugs, and they deserve the hail of bullets thugs get in the last reel.

Do you think the actual impeachment votes are there? To even open it? Or, more to the point, do you think that there are certain Democrats who don’t want to have to vote to open it because they know what it might mean for their district in 2020?

Refusing to cooperate adds another article of impeachment.

Honestly, to hell with whatever the political fallout might (or might not) be. Impeachment is the right thing to do. Be on the correct side of history.

Trump and his people are criminals and must face justice. Make Trump play by the rules for once in corrupt life.

Gowdy has been a critic and defender of Trump when it suits his interests. If I were Trump, I don't know if I'd want him anywhere near my legal team.

Trump allies gang up on Gowdy
