Why haven't I seen this thread?

First car was a '65 Mustang. 289-3 speed automatic with air. Candy Apple Red. I kick myself in the ass to this day for not keeping that car. Had power steering, but had a leak somewhere and could never keep power steering fluid in it. Replaced the pump........did everything. It's sitting on a showroom floor somewhere.
    I had a 99 35'th Anniversary Mustang. v6-automatic. Fun to drive.
Parents have a 32 Ford. Fully restored.

It's always cool to see kids reactions when they see it, because it just looks cool.
Loved the color the moment I saw it.
People always come up to me and comment on the color. My response is always "Yep......I told the dealership I wanted something with some color, and this is what they found!"

It only looks like a roadster. Is this the original muscle car?

    Carroll Shelby's 1962 AC Cobra 260.

Yeah, so I posted that I was getting the Mazdaspeed on a Friday thinking we were going to exchange pink slip for cash on Mon when banks open and the guy texted me on Sunday saying he'd sold it to someone who came by with cash. Initially bummed, but then on Mon. this showed up on craigslist

Bought it next day and couldn't be happier, newer car, less miles and love the retractable hardtop (up and down in 12 secs flat!). A blast to drive.

Wow, nice buy. Incredible cars, there’s a reason Miata owners are always smiling.

Yes, and there are so many out there, you can find great deals; this one only has 77k on it and I didn't have to break the bank (and ins only went up $200 for year, of course I'm 50+ and have 3 other cars on policy). In a nutshell zippy and top down experience; my ideal.

I have a hardtop Chrysler 200 convertible, and love love love that it's a hardtop. With the top up, the road noise is not a factor. It's a lot quieter than our minivan. And it's kinda cool when I just stand away from the car and lower the top with the press of two buttons on the key fob.

We did this on another thread, but here's the Platonic ideal of the form:
