A terrible choice to be sure. Most seemed to be forget what a fuck up Bernie’s was, not everyone who can leave classified docs out for his biker slut girlfriend to see.

He is a Quebec politician so not at all surprised that he ended up being a virulent racist.

    No. Seriously.

The President doesn't understand his job. Doesn't understand the constitutional limits to his powers. Doesn't posses a single ounce of moral fiber. Doesn't care about silly inconvenient ethics. Doesn't read. Doesn't care to be briefed. Doesn't want to hear from people who actually know things. Is content to sit around and rage tweet Fox News all day, and then make decisions based on what he saw on Hannity, instead of actual reality.

But please: Continue your, "They're all equally bad in every way!" argument.

So there's an article in Politico today about how some (not all!) Democratic fund raisers and donors in the corporate, especially finance sector, are freaked out about Warren. One point made by the author is that these guys are freaked because when they criticize her publicly, she gets more popular. I wonder if anyone told them to look though the other end of that telescope to see how voters view THEM.

This is the only one I have issue with, and I don't know what the solution is.

There's no doubt that these people "know things,'' . . . but are they telling you what they KNOW, or what they WANT YOU TO BELIEVE? And how does the person who doesn't "know these things" tell the difference?

Ike's advisors were telling him the USSR had this incredible technological superiority . . . and WE NEED MASSIVE FUNDING to catch up. Only one person spoke the truth at the time --- "Anybody who's been over there knows there is no technological superiority'' --- but that kind of truth telling isn't going to get you the money you want.

Getting bad advice is one thing. Tuning out bad advice and hearing the good advice is one thing.

Not even listening to people who have invested time learning about complicated subjects, because you are too impatient to sit through a briefing, and you'd rather just trust your "gut" is a whole different thing.

As soon as Trump finished having a tantrum about the size of the inauguration crowd, he started cutting taxes for the rich and trying to dismantle every single thing Obama did.

And yet you actually wrote that Trump is not the GOP.

Stop taking stupid pills. You are embarrassing yourself.

I want to understand why people like Alma wish to impose their value system on everyone else.
Forget about all of it from a policy standpoint, at its core it's just bad manners.
And I feel like it is historically urgent that the religious right start to understand, and embrace the understanding, that people are not obligated to think like they do.

The GOP did not make this guy president?

Which party’s primary did he win? Which party bankrolled him in the general election? With which party is the right-wing media aligned? Which party has blocked actions in the Senate hold his power in check?

Trump is the unvarnished icon of what the GOP has become: self-centered capitalism at all costs that lives on profits in the moment to the detriment of the environment, people without power, international diplomacy and any sort of civil debate or discussion.

By embracing Trump, the GOP has proven that any lip service they gave to decency was a sham and that they were more than eager chuck supposedly long-held “principles,” such as fiscal responsibility, to rally behind their champion.

The party that didn't already have an "ordained" candidate for 2016.

When you apply for a job, you apply where there are openings, not where there is a hiring freeze.

you say you follow politics but your trump hate has blinded you to the truth that a freshman representative is unquestionably the face of the democrat party and the messenger and symbol of all they stand for especially the really bad stuff that they're guaranteed to bring about in ten years but you think that a trump a republican nominee and historic winner of president of the united states of america our big beautiful country stands for republican values and beliefs and could in any way be responsible for problems in our country today maybe the real problem in our country is hate like yours hope you're happy tearing down our values
