I’ve always felt she lost her way after Olympia Snowe left

Some political scientist much smarter than I noted during the Kavanaugh hearings that while Collins did have centrist views on many issues, she was also quite a partisan Republican. So there was no real contradiction between voting to keep Obamacare and voting to confirm Kavanaugh. Except of course, when Kavanaugh does things that go in direct opposition to Collins' stated views on issues such as abortion. Then she's in a pickle. Impeachment of course will be the first pickle. It is quite clear she resents impeachment not because she wants to defend Trump but because it puts her worthy self in a tough position.

As recently as 2004 63 percent of Americans owned stock. A few panicked after 2008 and never got back. Their stupidity.

23 percent of Americans are under 18. Their mommies and daddies with stock are building a nice inheritance for them --- or perhaps are able to pay for their college education because of the stock they own.

And even for people who never dipped a toe into the market, a good market tends to mean explosive employment opportunities. Shame on people who ALWAYS have to try to piss on positive things because politics.

    "Gentleman." The delusion/self-pity is stomach-churning.

It's not negative at all to note that a huge number of Americans are not connected to the stock market. It's just a fact. People judge economics by first looking at their paycheck. Those numbers are also good, if not as good as the market.

You’d think if he was soooo aware the big nasty Democrats wanted to impeach him from the moment he took office ... he’d have tried harder not to give them so many easy reasons to do just that.

We're living in a time when memes have more credibility than journalism.

Assuming, of course, that in 2008 you did not continue to invest your money into the stock of a company that published newspapers.
