We'll see. If he wins in 2020, he paid nothing. Not a damn thing.

He relishes being impeached - especially for this. Particularly for this. It confirms everything he believes to be true about the world and himself. The man got impeached for - even if you believe the very worst in this situation - leaning on the president of Ukraine to investigate the unusually fortunate son of the former vice president. And also obstructing Congress.

This doesn't register with Americans the way progressives imagine it does. Trump being a graceless asshole racist? That registers. It does with me, anyway, and I think it registers with others. Withholding aid to Ukraine? A series of troubled politico types and ambassadors filing through to share their deep worries about our national security being jeopardized by Ukranian aid? That doesn't register the way progressives think it does.

I've enjoyed browsing today's front pages. It's a shame the Newseum is closing at the end of the month.

I’ll be benevolent and say the deadlines got them, but the Alabama paper with one-third of its front (A1) dedicated to bowl game picks is um, interesting.
Would they have ignored the impeachment of the readers’ savior even if it had happened at 4 pm?

 

I thought that the Newseum was great to visit, but hard to compete where everything else around you is free and you are charging a healthy admission.
