You have to laugh when people say how 'physically imposing' Trump is.
I/we have stood next to NFL punters who could whip your ass in two seconds.
There is no intimidation standing next to someone who wears Joker makeup, shoe lifts and a man girdle beneath an ill-fitting suit.

Kentucky paper op-ed: Mitch McConnell "violating" constitutional oath

"Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., is poised to violate his oath of office with his handling of President Donald Trump's impeachment trial in the Senate, according to a constitutional law professor.

In a blistering editorial published in McConnell's hometown newspaper, The Courier-Journal, Boston College Law professor and Kentucky native Kent Greenfield cautioned the Republican leader that his "loyalty to Trump should not overwhelm his loyalty to the Constitution." If McConnell does not ensure that a Senate impeachment is conducted fairly, he could violate the Constitution's oath to fair trials, Greenfield warned."

First, this is more than a year old.

    Second, here’s what Chaffetz said:

“The sad reality is we have a 7-year-old girl who has died and she should have never, ever made that journey. And that should be the message: Don’t make this journey, it will kill you.”

I do not like Chaffetz. I do not like his view of the matter. But he is not “celebrating” her death and it’s stunning that someone at Patheos would put that word in a headline. Nor is it helpful to use words that don’t apply and further erode trust between readers and online media.

That is possible. As an Ohio State law prof recently indicated in a post I can't find, the Senate's vote to remove isn't automatically accompanied by a prohibition of future service in high, elective office. In several past impeachment/removal procedures involving judges, for example, the vote to remove has been followed by a failed vote to secure a lifetime ban. In other instances, the removal wasn't followed up with a verdict either way on the future service prohibition. The question was left to hang. It is generally understood that a second vote (lifetime ban) is required but that it only requires a simple majority.

    Here's the NYT:
Could Trump Serve a Second Term if Ousted? It’s Up to the Senate
