Feels almost subversive looking for levity and uplift amid all this, but it's probably only going to get more necessary.

This is why I can't blame any body who went out to a bar or a restaurant last night. I see a lot of shaming on social media, but as far as I've seen there's been no definitive word on how careful to be. It'd be one thing if the President got in front of the country and said, "For these next X weeks, we need everybody to operate out of an abundance of caution. If you do not need to go out, do not go out. It does not matter your age. Stay home." But if the president isn't saying it, how is anybody supposed to know if they should listen to the governor of Oklahoma, or the one from Pennsylvania, or the local mayor? The messaging on this hasn't been consistent at all. If people shouldn't be going out to bars and restaurants, then bars and restaurants should not be opening.

Exactly. The panic is a direct result of a complete and total abdication of duty by the guy in the office whose greatest power/responsibility is situations like this. Turns out, there's a reason that presidents are expected to act presidential. There are times when you need people to trust that what you say is the best course of action.

Well, the average age of the congregation is right in the wheelhouse of those most likely to die. They want to meet him, just not yet.

That's the part that always makes me chuckle.

It's the most wonderful place . . . and it will be absolute paradise . . . but I just don't want to go yet. Not yet!

I don't know if this country can even have a "definitive word" anymore. People who trust Trump largely denounce science and modern medicine, and that's a titch dangerous at the moment.

That air show was in September. Had zero to do with Covid19.

That cultural US mecca Hoboken has ordered curfew on bars and restaurants, to protect large population of ignorant youngsters from themselves.

The next world is where you get what the rich of this world already has,a life free from the worries of where your next meal is coming from, where you can get health care, and an abode, where you aren’t burdened with labor for others In the meantime, work for the priests, and the landowners and the king. Great gimmick.
