Amazed he took his head out of the NRA's collective rear end long enough to notice anything else.

A buddy and I were discussing Trump and the NRA. He asked if I thought Trump owns any guns. I said I doubted if he'd ever fired one, but I could imagine the presser if he got asked the questions.
Oh yes, I own all the guns.
I have a, uhhh, 99 gauge. Everyone knows it's the best gauge. Nobody can shoot it like me.
I was a champion marksman in school. That's why I didn't go to Viet Nam.
I could have ended the whole thing in a couple of days by shooting the enemy from a long way away.
It wouldn't have been fair, though. It wouldn't have been fair to Charlie View Cong. That's why I stayed home. If had shot that one guy, it would have been a different war.

They are going to probably announce a 50-year treasury bond at the White House briefing, to pay for all of the spending they are passing, including half a trillion dollars of, "We'll mail everyone checks."

Nobody in their right mind is lending the US government money for 50 years -- already $23 trillion in debt, and about double the debt now it was 11 years ago -- at the artificially low interest rates they are price fixing the market at. So everyone should know that the idea is to spend trillions of dollars. ... and have the Federal Reserve press a button to create trillions of dollars of credit that dilutes the value of all the existing dollars they have already created, and then use that newly created credit to buy our own debt. Think about that scheme and if you had to explain it to a child.

Does ANYONE think about the consequence of this and whether that consequence is way worse than the crisis they are using as the excuse to behave that way?

You can not borrow your way out of a self-created debt mess. Worse, when you are reduced to destroying your currency because there is no other market for that debt because you have already used that scheme to run up way too much debt, you have passed the point of reckless.

I have a couple dozen 30-year bonds I need to cash in. Hope there's some money left.
