Stay-at-home for my county (Mecklenburg) begins at 8 a.m. tomorrow. Because wife's store is a UPS dropoff for online orders, some postal loophole allows it to stay open as an essential service. So no lost income. Need a fucking haircut now, and it will be three weeks minimum before I can get one.

When somebody prefaces the news with "sad trombone," that's the sarcastic red flag that they are taking joy in it.

Haven't seen a roll in more than a month. Only got paper towels because local grocer happened to be cutting open the boxes and putting them on the shelves at the exact time I was in the store. Probably would have been gone 20 minutes later. Cheap store brand, though. Not my Brawny.

Lots of toilet paper ads on my Facebook feed, none of which actually have any in stock.

BTE, I agree, I can deal if I can just get this mop shorn.

The billionaire Tom Golisano was smoking a Padron cigar on his patio in Florida on Tuesday afternoon. He was worried.
“The damages of keeping the economy closed as it is could be worse than losing a few more people,” said Golisano, founder and chairman of the payroll processor Paychex Inc.

These people are really working overtime to see the guillotine brought back, aren't they? By October, Joe Biden might be advocating a 100 percent wealth tax for anything over a million.

Shocked they're not called "Job Creators" in the headline...

You know, this is really good information.

All through this, I've said/asked, to others and myself, how, really, do we distinguish this condition from cold/flu -- short of testing, or death? I've thought all along that this is largely the problem with regard to whether people are taking it seriously enough, or feel the need to do so.
