The minute a car salesperson says they have to talk to their manager is the minute I walk. If you can’t make this deal, fuck you.

Truly. My partner and I graduated from college several years ago completely debt free, and it's one of the most liberating things imaginable in these current times.

That's the word --- liberating. Don't think of it as a chore --- more like a quest. Once you really take it seriously, you feel so much in control.

Because you’re giving to be upside down on that car from the moment you leave the lot till five or six years later.

As long as you plan to keep it and drive it till the wheels fall off that's not a big deal. If you buy it and find out that it's a lemon, you're screwed.

It looks as if Micro Jr. will make it out of undergrad and law school without owing any money. Undergrad in three, in-state public school, saving since birth, taxing 1/4 of his income for the college fund, undergrad/grad school scholarships, some monthly help from the parents and some inherited money are footing the bill.

Feel extremely fortunate, but it did not happen by accident. It took serious saving/planning, and Jr. had some skin in the game. He didn't like the taxman taking 1/4 of his income so he took college seriously.

I got out of four years at a private school owing only $1,500 ($7,000 in today's money). Again, I was lucky, but then again it didn't happen by accident.

I'm old and slow, but from time to time that idea still has it's appeal.

The last thing anyone should be doing at this point is assaulting any part of their respiratory system. Be safe, make it hookers and Kristal.

I have a five-year loan on my CRV, even though I put a down a substantial payment. But I'll probably start making some double payments on it to up the timeline. The interest rate was really good and my payment is less than $300 a month, so I'll take it.
