President Trump: The NEW one and only politics thread

Donald J. Trump said if 100,000 people died from the coronavirus, he'd consider himself a success. What do we consider a success? Making sure we never have to hear from him ever again. Vote Democratic. The future literally depends on it.

 

if it’s a real Christian I’ll feel bad. A guy I consider a friend down in Texas is an ordained minister and does a lot of community outreach for addicts (he’s a recovering addict and has empathy) and was scheduled to perform his first same sex marriage this year. If something happened to that dude, or someone like that Dude, I’d feel terrible.

But if it’s the usual hypocrite with a persecution complex? Well, we all gotta go sometime.

this is long and honestly I try to follow issues pretty closely and it seems accurate. I have no idea who wrote it (it might have been my friend). pretty much a blow-by-blow timeline of how Obama handled Ebola, and how trump has handled corona.

 

And like someone else has already posted, how in the hell has no one asked trump, if everything was a mess left by Obama, why hasn’t he been able to fix it in 3 years? What did he do to fix it?

I wonder how many times a day Trump wishes he'd never ran for president.
Sure, he loves the adulation and is a narcissist, but even he has to recognize he didn't really want the actual responsibility, pressure, and scrutiny that goes with the job.

 

Not nearly as many as how many times a day as -I- wish he hadn't run.

 

I doubt he wishes that at all. He may not want the scrutiny or the responsibility, but he likes the power. He seems to think he is going to come out of all this as some sort of hero. Sometimes I wonder if he truly realizes just how badly he has fucked up this country's response to COVID-19.
