I always hate the personification of these things (viz., "cancer's a motherfucker") - as if we don't have enough villains in the world that we have to invent them.

 

If we march around and claim American exceptionalism eight days a week, how about showing some exceptional leadership and crisis management when the shit hits the fan?

 

Describing Jared Kushner as "a man-child of breathtaking vapidity" ... that's some nice flutin', boy.

Not sure why we should grade Trump and the US response on some sort of curve.

Also not sure it's too much to expect leadership from the nation's leader in a time of terrible crisis. And pretty certain that the richest nation on earth™ had plenty of lead time and resources to deal with this more effectively, but did not.

 

Remember when South Korea (10,284 cases, 186 deaths***) was THE hotspot after China?

***Assuming that since they're our ally, we believe their numbers, unlike any of our adversaries

 

This November, remember Trump couldn't have done nearly as much damage as he did if not for his accomplices in the Senate.
