If Joe Biden got hit by a truck tonight, Bernie Sanders would not get the nomination. Anyone who thinks he would is somewhere past mistaken. He had a one-on-one contest with Clinton and got like 47 percent of the vote. One on one with Biden he got about 30. He has been rejected by the voters of the Democratic party. Not the "establishment" not the "elites," the voters. It's OK to think those voters made the wrong choice, but make it they did. They don't want Bernie as the nominee. Hence, he never will be.

 

If your argument is about why Reade didn’t come forward sooner — that it’s “convenient” that she’s coming forward now — the same argument could have been made a number of other times.

2012: Where was she the first time he ran with Obama? “How convenient.”

2008: She’s just now coming forward when he’s been selected as Obama’s running mate? “How convenient.”

Up for re-election in the Senate: “How convenient.”

I too wish the timing of this accusation was different, but my frustration over that is still not enough for me to immediately discredit and smear someone who may or may not have been a victim.

Except that for some reason, she never came forward those times.
