Mitch McConnell: ‘Classless’ Obama ‘Should’ve Kept His Mouth Shut’ About Trump

Just don't forget to save some of that disdain for Mitch McConnell. Now he thinks Barack Obama should keep his mouth shut. At first, I thought the whole Obamagate thing was part of an attempt to blame the former president for the current disaster, which is ridiculous. President Obama had us far more ready for a pandemic when he left office than we were when it happened because President Trump cared more about dismantling the work of his predecessor than he cared about doing his actual job.

Now I think it is just a knee-jerk response to President Obama finally criticizing the federal government's piss-poor response to the pandemic. President Trump had to lash out over that and his lackeys are just jumping in.

 

Daniel, how does it feel to have Trump just flat-out infringing on your gimmick like that?

It's simpler than that. McConnell is appealing to the millions of Republican voters who believe the country must pay for the crime of electing a black man as President. There's nothing left of the Republican campaign in 2020 but racism, and they sure as hell are gonna run on it.

Worth noting that the official Chinese policy, carefully leaked by "unofficial" spokespeople, favors Trump over Biden because "he's a businessman." That is, "we can just bribe him if it comes to that."
