I've been amazed seeing how much the "Convential Wisdom Press" has come to Joe Scarborough's defense. You think of the damage this President has caused millions of people, the threats to our way of life his tenure continues to pose - but tweeting an old debunked rumor about a morning show host is what concerns them?
And I will continue to say the loud silence we're hearing from national business leaders throughout this crise - outside of some of the very rich philanthropist types - is very odd. Local nail salon owners have seemed to have had a higher profile in taking a "leadership" role (whether you agree or disagree with their tactics or demands, you at least get a sense of what they want).

 

Not logical at all.

Jobs support the economy. Not handouts from a government already $25 trillion in debt. That only (eventually) makes things WORSE.

 

Without a further bill, the second order effects of crashed state and local budgets will be enormous, and that's just one factor. This is an emergency and the only weapon the government has to fight it on he economic front is money. A four or five year depression makes things much worse than the debts of an entity that can't go out of business.
