    This was mine. “Malodorous swill” has made its way into my vernacular, particularly as it relates to craft beer. It’s just genius. As I remember, it was a description of the hot dogs in the press box at Notre Dame.

    Few may remember it but @Moderator1 and @PCLoadLetter (pretty sure it was them) did a magnificent recreation of your average Spenser novel.

    Yeah that was fun. A little disappointed we didn't get the nod to continue the series when Parker died.

    I watched with adoration as Susan ate a single pea with a knife and fork.

    (I haven't read a Spenser novel in years and years. I believe Ace Atkins continued the series and his own work is very good. I suspect his Spenser novels are a good step up from where they left off under Parker.)

    Atkins is indeed very good. His Spenser books read just like Parker's, hell, just like he cribbed them from US.
