    Spearchucker was in the book, basically solely to provide a former NFL player as a ringer to win bets on the football game seen in the movie. The book got far more politically incorrect than that.

    For instance, Trapper John at one point had grown out his hair and beard. Someone had the bright idea of tying him to a cross hung below a helicopter and flying him over Korean Christian churches on Sunday morning, landing, and selling autographed pictures of Jesus Christ.

    I agree! A very hilarious show, “All in the Family”! I hope it is not canceled. You are to laugh at, not with, Mr. Bunker.

    Which led to one of the best lines in the book from Trapper: "Always knew I'd make good, but I never thought I'd get to the top so fast."
